A Voxel is a volume element, representing a value in three dimensional space. This is analogous to a pixel, which represents 2D image data. Jet comes from "inkjet" and stands for ink jet printing, one of the key technologies. Combined "VoxelJet" is synonymous with 3D printing and with the ability to transfer efficient 2D printing techniques to the production of 3D models.
Plastic components in almost any volume, print fast, economically and directly from 3D CAD files. These are the advantages of the new VX technology from Voxeljet. The components are produced from applying a particle material in layers, which is stuck together with a binding agent.
The use of technical synthetics (plastics) as source material is unique. By using the latest high-performance printing technology the VX 800, and the new smaller VX500, build parts with outstanding resolution and surface quality. The enormous build speed and the large overall dimensions make the VX800 the right choice for fast and economic production of your prototypes and small batch requirements.
3D Printer VX800
The VX800 produces thermoplastic models to order, based on 3D data, without tools and is fully automatic. A selectively bonded particle material is applied layer by layer to create models.
Once the building process is completed, the interchangeable container is removed from the system via a rail-guide system. As soon as a second interchangeable container (optional accessory) is inserted, the system is ready to start operation again. With the aid of the VX800 unpacking station and an industrial vacuum cleaner, the components are removed from the surrounding powder before being dried in a convection oven (both optional accessories).
