The Laserdenta Open Object Scanner performs the high-resolution digitization of objects up to a size of 300 x 300 x 150 mm with an accuracy of up to 0.02 mm (the equivalent of 20 microns).
For smaller objects, for instance, in the dental field (plaster impressions) and in the jewellery industry (rings, watches etc.) there is the Laserdenta Open Dental Scanner providing an increase in resolution, detecting the very finest of details up to 0.01 mm. Using laser triangulation, i.e. the laser beam scans the object revolving around five axes while a digital camera records millions of measuring points.
The PC and software assemble an exact reproduction of the object in a point cloud. The advantage of this recording technology lies in the portrayal of the models with a complete absence of shading; thanks to triangulation it is possible to scan and reproduce internal areas and not just the outlines of models.
Features
Easy to use, scans single die to a full jaw
'What you see is what you scan'
20 micron precision
5 axis for freedom in movement and laserline, ideal for undercuts
Scan time 90 seconds for a single die, 7-15 minutes for a full jaw (start to saved file)
Flawless quality scan files
Margin line algorithm
Scans impression, bite registration, solid model, cut & trim model working models (in gypsum or silicon, and abutments)
Engineered and made in Germany/Switzerland
Minimal calibration (10 minutes/week) by non-expert minimal maintenance required
• Comlete jaw scan in 5-8 minutes plus bite registration, single die in 60 seconds
• Screen shows progress at any time (feedback)
• Scans directly from the negative impression (for highest precision) as well as from gypsum and bite registration
• Saves time: cutting jaws and scanning isolated single teeth is not necessary
• Scans an average of 1-3 million data points per jaw; single stump approximately 150,000 points
