DigitalWax 010 is the latest rapid prototyping and production technology applied to the jewellery industry. Its wide working area, measuring 200x200x60 mm, is suitable for jewellery models of any size and shape.
DigitalWax 010 process
The 3D models are built with the aid of a proprietary photo-sensitive resin that is hardened by a special Laser light. The Laser head is specifically developed to guarantee high performance and long duration. Thanks to the layer-by-layer forming technology, there are no limits to the geometric complexity of the models: undercuts, cavities, thin surfaces and complex shapes can be created without any difficulty.
The exclusive resin, specifically developed for jewellery applications, enables DigitalWax 010 to produce very resistant models that can easily be polished and finished with the tools and techniques traditionally used in Goldsmithery.
A complete circle
The models may subsequently be used as a master pattern for rubber moulds of both hot and cold, or in direct lost-wax, casting processes.
Extremely convenient
DigitalWax 010 works automatically, unmanned, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The running cost is the lowest in the market: the only component subject to consumption in the process is the resin, and only the precise quantity necessary to make the model is used. There is no wastage.
